Rob Edwards, the manager of Luton Town, stated he would not take responsibility for the team’s loss at Carrow Road. The Luton Town boss, currently under scrutiny, cautioned his players that they must cease committing mistakes or risk being excluded from the squad, following their defeat against Norwich City. This 4-2 loss, occurring at Carrow Road, marked their sixth consecutive away defeat in the Championship. The result positions them in 19th place, maintaining a three-point lead over the relegation zone. The Hatters have allowed 20 goals during these six defeats. Edwards attributed all four goals conceded against Norwich to individual errors made by players. He conveyed to BBC Three Counties Radio: “People have got to fix it quickly, otherwise they won’t play. Too many times it’s happened, but today it was so, so evident. The plan was good, there was a good performance there, and we should have come away winning the game, but we’ve made four massive errors individually and it’s cost us a game of football again.” This season, Luton has secured four points from a possible 27 in away games. Conversely, they have triumphed in their last two home fixtures at Kenilworth Road, achieving clean sheets in both. At the conclusion of the match, Edwards approached the travelling supporters to acknowledge them. However, he stated he would not offer an apology on this occasion, explaining, “because that’s not on me”. He further commented: “The majority of fans are with us, and if there are some that are angry, that’s fine – they’re flipping right to be angry. I’m angry as well. We’ve just lost 4-2 and chucked it away.” Luton’s performance since their relegation from the Premier League last season has led to scrutiny regarding Edwards’ role. Nevertheless, the 41-year-old affirmed his resolve to continue in his position. He declared: “I’m ready to fight and dig in, but every one of those players has to do that with me as well.” Post navigation Australia’s Most Decorated Olympian, Emma McKeon, Retires from Swimming Scott Robertson Reflects on Formative Northern Ireland Stint Ahead of Ireland Match
