Clann Eireann successfully defended their Ulster Senior Club Football Championship title by defeating Cavan side Lurgan with a score of 2-17 to 2-8. Captain Niamh Henderson, who contributed 1-2, led the Armagh champions to their second consecutive Ulster title. This achievement marks Clann Eireann as the first side from the county to win the Ulster title last year and now retain it. Niamh Murray also registered six points during the match held at Healy Park in Tyrone. Clann Eireann established an early advantage, scoring within 46 seconds and accumulating seven consecutive points to build a commanding lead. While they continued to score, Emma Tolan’s goal, alongside a series of other scores, helped Lurgan get on the scoreboard. At the half-time interval, Clann Eireann held a 0-12 to 1-2 lead. Following the restart, the Armagh team aimed to extend their advantage, with Henderson’s goal further widening the gap. Lurgan then built some momentum, but Aoibhinn Donohue scored for the titleholders, restoring their comfortable margin. Although Tolan netted her second goal in the final 10 minutes, Clann Eireann maintained a sufficient buffer to secure a nine-point victory.
