Yorkshire has secured the services of pace bowler Jack White on a two-year contract from Northamptonshire, effective from the commencement of the 2025 season. White achieved his career-best first-class bowling figures of 6-38 against Essex in 2022 while playing for Northamptonshire. The 32-year-old bowler accumulated a total of 149 wickets across all formats for Northamptonshire since his debut in 2020, with 114 of these coming in first-class cricket. White, who notably took 50 wickets during his impressive 2023 County Championship season, is transferring to Yorkshire following the successful negotiation of an early release from his current contract. White expressed his sentiments, stating, “I’m incredibly honoured and extremely excited to begin this new chapter with Yorkshire.” He further added, “Headingley is a special place to play, and having had discussions with the coach and the leaders of the club I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my game and playing my part in achieving success for Yorkshire.” During his tenure at Wantage Road, White secured 30 List A wickets and five T20 wickets. His top first-class performance, a haul of 6-38, occurred against Essex in 2022. Additionally, he was recognized with the club’s players’ player of the year award during his period with Northamptonshire. Northamptonshire chief executive Ray Payne commented on White’s departure, stating, “While it is a real shame that Jack has decided to move elsewhere, everyone would like to thank him for his efforts in a Northamptonshire shirt and we wish him the best moving forward.” Post navigation Coventry Submits Formal Application for Premiership Promotion British Tennis Player Motivates Youngsters at Former Primary School
