Ryan Barnett has committed his future to Wrexham by signing a new contract that extends his tenure until the summer of 2027. This agreement also incorporates an option for an extension of an additional 12 months. The 25-year-old Barnett expressed his satisfaction, stating: “I’m buzzing to get it sorted. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be at the moment.” He added, “The atmosphere around the club is brilliant and I’m glad it’s something I get to be a part of for even longer.” Barnett concluded by saying, “It’s a proud and happy moment for myself and my family.” Barnett initially arrived at the north Wales club from Solihull Moors in February 2023 and has since played a crucial role under manager Phil Parkinson. During the previous season, he participated in 37 matches across all competitions. He notably scored in victories over Crawley Town and Forest Green Rovers, with the goal against Forest Green Rovers earning the club’s Goal of the Season award, contributing to Wrexham’s promotion from League Two. This season, he has appeared in 14 out of Wrexham’s 15 league fixtures, registering six assists. Manager Phil Parkinson commented on Barnett’s new agreement, stating: “We’re really pleased for Ryan’s new contract.” He further remarked, “He’s adapted well to life in League One and fully deserves his new deal.”
