Women’s FA Cup: Holders Manchester United to Host Third-Tier West Brom in Fourth Round

Reigning champions Manchester United are set to host third-tier West Bromwich Albion in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup. Last season, United secured their inaugural major women’s trophy by defeating Tottenham 4-0 at Wembley Stadium in the final. Elsewhere in the draw, Women’s Super League leaders Chelsea will play Championship side Charlton Athletic at home. Fourteen-time winners Arsenal are scheduled to welcome Bristol City. Among the 16 matches slated for the same day, two all-WSL encounters will see Liverpool travel to West Ham and Everton face Tottenham. Manchester City’s opponent will be the victor of the match between Ipswich Town and Bournemouth, which is scheduled for Sunday. Fifth-tier Fulham, the lowest-ranked team to advance to this stage, will compete against Championship side London City Lionesses. Kidderminster Harriers, also a fifth-tier club, have the opportunity to progress alongside Fulham if they overcome Blackburn in their third-round fixture on Sunday. The winner of that tie will then play Portsmouth. All fourth-round ties are scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 12.
