Warrington Wolves winger Josh Thewlis has agreed to a new contract, ensuring his tenure with the Super League club will continue until the conclusion of the 2028 season. Last season, Thewlis contributed 82 goals over 26 appearances for the Warrington Wolves. The 22-year-old athlete progressed through the club’s academy system, making his initial appearance at 17 years old in a match against Catalans Dragons during 2019. Since his debut, he has participated in 88 games for the club, registering 39 tries throughout that timeframe. “I’ve been at this club since I was 15 and I love it here,” he said. “I want to put my best foot forward now, enjoy my rugby and be known as a player who gives everything and who everyone wants to play with.” “It’s special to play for this club and I love representing this town.” In the previous season, Thewlis recorded a total of 15 tries across 26 games, contributing to a strong performance for Warrington that saw them reach both the Challenge Cup final and the Super League play-offs. “It’s great news for the club and Josh to secure his long-term future,” head coach Sam Burgess added. “He’s a crucial part of our team and I’m looking forward to having him and his family with us for the next few years.”
