Watford manager Tom Cleverley stated that his team is facing significant challenges due to a demanding series of matches. Following their 1-0 defeat to Swansea on Tuesday evening, the Hornets must quickly prepare to host Oxford on Friday. “The squad is running thin, we’ve got suspensions, we’ve got injuries and three games in six days but we’ll find solutions for Friday,” Cleverly told BBC Three Counties Radio. Kwadwo Baah, a forward, entered the game against Swansea in the second half, showcasing his speed and making a notable impact, though Cleverley acknowledged that starting him was not feasible. “Baah’s got a niggle and I wasn’t even planning on using him for as long as I did.” “We’re trying to reduce his load this week so he can play on Friday – he had a fantastic impact but the plan was to only use him for half an hour.” For the upcoming match against Oxford, Cleverley will have Ryan Porteous available again following his suspension. However, the team will be missing Francisco Sierralta, who received his fifth yellow card of the season during the loss to Swansea.
