Hull City manager Tim Walter, who joined the club in the summer on a three-year deal, has stated that winger Abu Kamara, an England Under-20s international, did not suffer a serious injury after his departure from Saturday’s match. Kamara exited the field in the 82nd minute during Hull’s 1-1 draw against Portsmouth, having sustained a significant blow to his ankle. Nevertheless, the injury to the former Norwich forward is less severe than initially believed, a conclusion supported by his sighting leaving MKM Stadium wearing a protective boot. Despite this positive development, the upcoming match against Oxford United on Tuesday night is too soon for Kamara to return to play. Walter informed BBC Radio Humberside, “It’s not really good so for today he is not an option, but hopefully he is back on the weekend.” He added, “It’s not that bad but it’s still painful so he cannot play [against Oxford].” Kamara, a summer signing for Hull, now joins Steven Alzate, Liam Millar, Marvin Mehlem, and Carl Rushworth among the sidelined players, exacerbating the Tigers’ growing injury concerns. However, Walter stated he will not allow the team’s misfortune to serve as an excuse for their recent poor performance. “We have to accept it,” the German coach remarked. “It’s the chance for other players to step in and show what they can do and to prove how good they are.” He further expressed confidence, stating, “I am very comfortable with my team, I am 100% convinced of my team and for that we will have a good sub for him.” Post navigation Kevin De Bruyne’s Return Hailed as ‘Integral’ and ‘One of the Best’ by Guardiola and Pundits Scotland Secures 2-1 Victory Over Poland: Match Review
