Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii is set to rejoin Australia’s starting lineup at Murrayfield. Australia’s head coach, Joe Schmidt, has implemented six alterations to the team that achieved a convincing victory over Wales last weekend in the Autumn Nations Series, ahead of Sunday’s game against Scotland. Harry Potter, 26, is slated to make his debut for the Wallabies, playing on the left wing at Murrayfield, while captain Harry Wilson will return to the number eight position. Carlo Tizzano is also reinstated in the back row, and Jeremy Williams represents another modification within the forward pack, where he will partner with La Rochelle’s Will Skelton in the second row. Rugby League convert Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii has been selected in the centres following his impressive debut in Australia’s win over England earlier this month. Jake Gordon has also been recalled to play scrum-half. Samu Kerevi will be unavailable for selection due to a suspension incurred after receiving a red card during the match against Wales. Commenting on the preparations, Schmidt stated, “The week has been complicated, with the freezing conditions ruling out training fields but the group have adapted well to the situation.” He further added, regarding their opponents, “The core of the Scotland team has been together for a number of years. They’re cohesive and combative and we will need to be at our best on Sunday.” The starting fifteen for Australia against Scotland will be: Wright, Kellaway, Suaalii, Ikitau, Potter, Lolesio, Gordon; Bell, Faessler, Alaalatoa, Williams, Skelton, Valetini, Tizzano, Wilson. The replacement players are: Paenga-Amosa, Kailea, Nonggorr, Salakaia-Loto, Gleeson, McDermott, Donaldson, Jorgensen.
