Wakefield Trinity forward Isaiah Vagana has signed a three-year contract, extending his tenure with the Super League club until the conclusion of the 2027 season. Last season, Vagana made 15 appearances for the team. The 24-year-old joined Wakefield Trinity from the New Zealand Warriors before the 2024 season, contributing to the club’s run to the Championship Grand Final. Despite missing four months of the season due to a hand injury, he managed to play in 15 Trinity matches, including the end-of-season play-offs. “We had a great year this year and have done the work to get back into Super League,” Vagana stated. He added, “The club is in a great position and has a bright future ahead and I want to be here for it so when the club offered me an opportunity to extend my time here I couldn’t say no.” Vagana, the son of former Bradford prop Joe Vagana, has committed his future to the club following the confirmation of their Super League place for the 2025 season, which was secured through last month’s IMG gradings.
