Vitor Pereira is scheduled to arrive in Wolverhampton on Tuesday to finalize an agreement to assume the role of Wolves’ new head coach. The Premier League team, currently facing difficulties, is reportedly paying approximately 1m euros to secure the Al-Shabab boss’s move to the West Midlands. Pereira, who previously managed Porto, is anticipated to sign an 18-month contract, provided no unforeseen issues arise. However, discussions have progressed without complications, suggesting his confirmation at Molineux could occur by the close of the day. The 56-year-old is slated to manage his inaugural match against Leicester City on Sunday. Wolves currently occupy the second-to-last position in the league standings, trailing the 17th-placed Foxes by five points. Wolves have recorded 11 losses in their 16 matches played. The club dismissed head coach Gary O’Neil on Sunday, a decision that followed Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town, another team struggling in the league.
