Guernsey’s new football venue is observing three significant stages in its development as it prepares to host players and supporters early next year. The playing surface at Victoria Park has been installed, the spectator stands are currently being assembled, and the clubhouse and changing facilities have now been made weather-resistant, according to the Guernsey FA. The pitch, engineered for professional football featuring grass-like fibres, along with the spectator stands, are anticipated to be finished by mid-November. Progress on the clubhouse and changing rooms is also satisfactory, the association added. Victoria Park is designated to become the new administrative base for Guernsey FA and the primary venue for Guernsey FC’s matches. Gary Roberts, the Chief Executive Officer of Guernsey FA, commented: “It’s great to see Victoria Park taking shape, and 10 years on since planning began, we’re pleased that the project is well on track.”
