Former Norwich defender Timm Klose has announced his retirement from playing at the age of 36. Klose made 31 appearances and scored four goals for Norwich as the club won the Championship in the 2018-19 season. The Swiss international joined the Canaries in January 2016, transferring from German club Wolfsburg. He accumulated nearly 120 league appearances across four seasons in both the Premier League and Championship. Subsequently, he moved to Basel on loan before later joining Bristol City. Klose shared his reflections on Instagram, stating: “After many years, a great journey is coming to an end. It hasn’t always been all rainbows and sunshine, but even the hard and rocky times have shaped me into who I am today.” He continued, “Thanks to all the clubs who had the courage to sign me – I have always given everything for them and tried to leave my heart on and off the pitch.” Klose has recently been involved in playing and coaching with the youth set-up at Basel. He added regarding his future plans: “Now it’s time for a change – I’m really looking forward to be working on all the projects I have already started. What an exciting journey.” Post navigation Glentoran’s Gyollai Expresses Delight Over Unintentional Equalizer in Victory Mikel Arteta Addresses Newcastle Match, Injury Concerns, and Odegaard’s Return
