The Thai golfer Tavatanakit and American Knapp recorded a 14-under-par round of 58, featuring 12 birdies and one eagle in this PGA & LPGA Tour mixed event. The American duo Jennifer Kupcho and Akshay Bhatia, alongside the Canadian pair Brooke Henderson and Corey Connors, are one stroke back, sharing second place. The event, which includes 16 mixed pairs, is scheduled over three rounds at the Tiburon Golf Club from December 13-15, offering a shared prize fund of £3.5m ($4m). New Zealand’s Lydia Ko and Australia’s Jason Day, who were the champions of the inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational in 2023, finished their round with a birdie, placing them in a tie for sixth. The most recent mixed team competition held by the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour before this one was the 1999 JC Penney Classic.
