Narcis Pelach, the head coach for Stoke City, has expressed his desire for defender Ben Wilmot to keep progressing, even though Wilmot has already played over 100 matches for the team. While typically a centre-back, Wilmot has been deployed as a right-back during the current season, and Pelach has commended his successful adjustment to the role. Speaking to BBC Radio Stoke, Pelach stated, “He’s 25 now and it’s a moment where he can explode and I don’t imagine Stoke City without him.” Stoke City is set to compete in Saturday’s Championship fixture against QPR, having sustained only a single loss in their previous eight league encounters. Pelach further commented, “It’s good to have players who can play different positions so now Ben has a feeling he can play right-back.” He concluded by saying, “Against Borja Sainz (Norwich) – the best winger in the league – he had no problem so after this he is ready to be a right-back in the Championship and I want him to be ambitious and make more steps.” Post navigation Fan Perspectives on Glasgow and Edinburgh’s Champions Cup Opening Matches Premier League Weekend: Highlights, Analysis, and Match Results
