Stockport County has finalized an agreement to acquire Benony Breki Andresson, a striker from Club KR, for an undisclosed sum. The deal commits the player to a three-and-a-half-year contract. Andresson has previously played for Iceland at the under-21 level. The 19-year-old forward demonstrated strong performance last season, netting 21 goals in 26 appearances within the Icelandic top flight. Andresson is scheduled to join the League One team in January, coinciding with the opening of the transfer window. His initial placement will be with the club’s development squad. Simon Wilson, the director of football, commented on the acquisition to the club’s website, stating: “Benony is what we call an emerging talent signing, someone who we believe has high potential for the future but requires a development plan and huge effort from all parties to get him to where we think he can be.”
