Danny Rohl, the manager of Sheffield Wednesday, has raised concerns regarding his team’s mental approach to home games, ahead of Blackburn Rovers’ visit to Hillsborough on Tuesday. Following a 1-1 draw at home against Preston North End, Rohl’s team has secured only two victories in their last nine Championship fixtures played at their home stadium. In stark contrast, Wednesday has achieved four wins in their last five away matches from Hillsborough, with their sole defeat being a narrow 1-0 loss to local rivals Sheffield United during the same period. Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Rohl stated, “I think our mindset is not right at home.” He further elaborated, “I think we try and we want to play nice football and we forget in that moment what we have to do first in this division.” Rohl added, “We are a not a team that can dominate for 90 minutes.” Blackburn Rovers have secured victories in their last four matches, prompting Rohl to emphasize to his squad the necessity of improvement if they are to resume winning in front of their home crowd. He outlined, “We have to do our things, our basics right and this starts against the ball – be aggressive, be organised, help each other.” Rohl pondered, “What is the difference between home and away? – I think this is the point.” He concluded, “We think we can do special things and we forget the basics.” Post navigation Liverpool Squad Receives Timely Rest Neymar Downplays Injury Concern in Second Appearance
