Shaun Norris emerged victorious at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, having started the final round six shots adrift of the lead. Van Velzen had an opportunity to join his compatriot Norris at the top of the leaderboard with a par on the final hole. However, his chances were extinguished when his ball went into the water, resulting in a bogey. English golfers Andy Sullivan, who scored a 70, and Dale Whitnell, with a 71, both finished the tournament at 10 under par.
