Sean Dyche, who has accumulated over 550 games as a manager across his tenures at Watford, Burnley, and Everton, has stated he is exerting unprecedented effort to improve Everton’s challenging season. The Toffees have secured only two victories in the current Premier League campaign, placing them 15th and two points clear of the relegation zone ahead of the midweek fixtures. The Merseyside club is scheduled to play against fellow struggling team Wolves on Wednesday, aiming for their first win in six matches after failing to score in their preceding four games. Dyche, whose managerial career commenced at Watford in 2011 prior to a decade-long period at Burnley, remarked, “Sometimes me, my staff and the players haven’t delivered as well as we could do,” He added, “But we work tirelessly. This is the most work I’ve done in all my years in management, at this club, without a shadow of a doubt.” He continued, “I’m more than ready for the challenge. It could be easier because for sure I’ve made errors this season, the team has made errors, they are there for all to see.” Dyche also stated, “It’s a fact of life as a manager, you have to get the margins right and we haven’t done so far this season.” Concluding, he said, “You’ve got to win games and we haven’t won enough games.” Dyche took over from Frank Lampard in January 2023 when Everton was positioned in the relegation zone. However, the team managed to secure their Premier League status on the final day of the season with a victory against Bournemouth. Subsequently, he led the Toffees to a 15th-place finish in the previous season, even after the club incurred an eight-point deduction due to two violations of Premier League financial regulations. Dyche, whose contract is set to conclude at the end of the current season, further commented, “Last season we were on six points [after the first points deduction] at this stage, we are on 11 now. By no means was that where I was expecting to be,” He added, “We’ve got ourselves in a position where we feel we should be doing better – myself included – and now it is about taking on the challenge.” He concluded by stating, “I’m still trying to crack the code, as others have done before me.” Post navigation Audience Feedback Requested Following Arsenal’s 3-0 Win Against Preston Casemiro Assesses His Personal Season as Positive Amidst Team’s League Struggles
