Ross County defender Akil Wright has expressed his acute awareness of the significant impact an away victory against Hibs this weekend could have for the club. The Staggies recently suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Rangers on Sunday. With three wins in their last 16 league games, the team is currently positioned eighth in the top flight, holding a three-point advantage over Hibs, who are at the bottom of the league standings. Don Cowie’s squad has not secured an away win in seven top-flight matches this season and is preparing for a challenging fixture at Easter Road on Saturday. “It’s a massive game and we need to turn our away form around. What a time it would be to do it,” said Wright. “There’s a lot of pressure on both teams, but we’re looking forward to it.” “There are a lot of positives but if you lose 3-0 there are negatives that we want to improve on and work on.” “We’re working hard in training this week to get ready for the game on Saturday.” “Scoring goals from every area of the pitch will help the team going forward, from defence to up front.” “We’ve not scored an away goal in a while [since a 1-1 draw at Hearts on September 28] so what a time it would be to do it and hopefully end our drought of not winning away from home.” “We want to increase the gap [on Hibs] to six points.” Post navigation Ruben Amorim Reflects on ‘Special’ Inaugural Manchester United Victory Amidst ‘Anxiety’ Welsh Clubs Maintain Challenge Cup Hopes Ahead of Festive Derbies
