Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is set to miss a series of upcoming fixtures after being banned by the Football Association. The ban was imposed following a finding by an independent regulatory commission that a charge of using a racial slur about team-mate Son Heung-min was proven, despite Bentancur’s denial. The games Bentancur will be unavailable for are: Saturday: Manchester City (away) 1 December: Fulham (home) 5 December: Bournemouth (away) 8 December: Chelsea (home) 15 December: Southampton (away) 19 December: Manchester United (home in the EFL Cup) 22 December: Liverpool (home) Bentancur is, however, eligible to participate in Tottenham’s Europa League matches against Roma on 28 November and at Rangers on 12 December. The midfielder can also play in Uruguay’s World Cup qualifier against Brazil on Wednesday. He is expected to be eligible to return to Premier League action against Nottingham Forest on 26 December.
