The Old Trafford Regeneration project team is scheduled to launch a survey among local residents next week concerning its proposals for the area. This announcement follows the confirmation that discussions regarding a potential new stadium for Manchester United are not expected to conclude until 2025. It had previously been indicated that the future direction of United’s plans would be clarified by the end of this year. After a club survey revealed that the majority of responding fans favored a new stadium over Manchester United remaining at a redeveloped Old Trafford, residents in the vicinity will now be asked for their input on the broader regeneration plans. The survey is set to commence on November 13 and will run until 23:59 GMT on December 4, with all submissions remaining anonymous. Manchester United has stated its intention to host open days at Old Trafford in December “for the local community to attend and hear more about the project and provide their ideas in person”. The project team operates as a partnership involving Manchester United, Trafford Council, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. Trafford Council leader Tom Ross emphasized, “It is critical we hear from as many residents and community members as possible during this process to ensure we can capture all their views and as we start to shape the plans for the regeneration of the area around the stadium.”
