Having defeated St Helens 18-8 in the 2024 Grand Final, the reigning champions, York Valkyrie, are scheduled to commence their Women’s Super League title defense with an away match against Wigan Warriors. This fixture will inaugurate the 2025 season on Friday, 16 May. The subsequent day will see St Helens, last season’s runners-up, host Leeds Rhinos in a rematch of the previous three Challenge Cup finals. Further matches on 18 May include Warrington Wolves competing against Huddersfield Giants, and the recently promoted Leigh Leopards playing Barrow Raiders. The schedule for the second round of fixtures has also been unveiled, featuring York Valkyrie at home against Leeds Rhinos as a prominent encounter. The remaining games for the season are slated for release at 18:00 GMT.
