Manager Philippe Clement stated that Rangers’ impressive Europa League victory against Nice on Thursday would “give a lot of hope” to the club’s supporters. Clement, a Belgian national, has recently been under considerable pressure from the Ibrox fanbase due to the team’s current position of third in the Premiership, trailing Aberdeen by nine points and rivals Celtic by 11 points. However, a significant 4-1 triumph achieved in France, which propelled Rangers into the Europa League top eight, served to ease the increasing pressure on the manager. While supporters continue to express apprehension regarding the team’s performance in domestic competitions, Clement believes this win demonstrates that “the team is starting to gel together”. Speaking to RangersTV before Rangers’ Premiership match against St Johnstone on Sunday, he remarked, “They are starting to understand everything better and better.” He added, “For some players it’s been two months together, some three months together, some four months together, it’s still a short time so it’s good already to have this level in Europe. “Having 10 points, it’s a very bright start and this will give a lot of hope to all our fans, also about the future of the club and the future of this squad.” Post navigation Maddie Feaunati’s Journey: From New Zealand Call Centre to England Rugby Star Ireland to Host Australia in 150th Anniversary Test: Match Preview
