Rangers manager Philippe Clement spoke to reporters ahead of his team’s Europa League encounter with Tottenham at Ibrox this Thursday. The following are key remarks from the Ibrox boss: Addressing the financial difference between Rangers and Spurs, Clement asserted: “Everything can be bridged in one night.” He added: “It is a tough challenge and that is what we like. This club has a big history against tough European teams at Ibrox, this is one of the reasons players want to play for this club.” The Belgian coach highlighted that these victorious nights are remembered for a lifetime. He cited his own experience with Club Brugge, which triumphed over AC Milan in the San Siro in 2003. Clement rejected the idea that Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs, who are currently winless in four matches and sit 11th in the Premier League, are in a state of crisis, stating: “They looked pretty good when they beat Man City 4-0.” He confirmed that he would need to implement more squad rotations than usual, given the impending League Cup final against Celtic on Sunday. Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo are unavailable. Oscar Cortes, who has been sidelined due to injury since September, is now fit for selection.
