Gary O’Neil, who became Wolves manager in August 2023, has stated that the team must eliminate “crazy errors” to improve their position in the Premier League standings. The Black Country club had been undefeated in four matches leading up to Saturday’s encounter with Bournemouth, but a 4-2 defeat, in which they conceded three penalties, resulted in them falling back into the relegation zone. O’Neil commented, “They’re crazy, crazy errors at really key stages in the football match.” He continued, “To be able to bounce back from it, and then to give away two penalties by passing one to their centre-forward and passing one to the goalkeeper, who gets tackled by their centre-forward, can’t happen in Premier League games.” O’Neil added, “We’re making too many in key areas at the moment. We are costing ourselves a lot of goals with errors and it has to improve.” Wolves are scheduled to visit 15th-placed Everton on Wednesday night, with a victory having the potential to lift them above the Toffees in the league table. Following this, they are set to play three other teams currently struggling – West Ham, Ipswich, and Leicester – which O’Neil views as an opportunity to ascend the table. He remarked, “Where we are in the league is, of course, not where we want to be, but we’re still in touching distance of a lot of teams just above us.” O’Neil further stated, “We’ve come off the back of a four-game unbeaten run, two wins on the bounce that change the outlook for us, and there’s no reason we can’t start another one of those runs tomorrow night.” Post navigation West Ham Reportedly Leads Race for Evan Ferguson Hungary Coach Adam Szalai Reports Good Health Following On-Pitch Collapse
