Norwich City full-back Jack Stacey, who arrived on a free transfer from Bournemouth in the summer of 2023, has stated he feels physically well following his first start in 11 league matches. Stacey made his comeback to the team, having previously been replaced by youth academy graduate Kellen Fisher, and contributed an assist for Emiliano Marcondes during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion. Speaking to BBC Radio Norfolk, he remarked, “Yeah its nice, as a professional footballer all you want to do is play, you would worry if that wasn’t the case.” He added, “All you can do, when you’re out the team, is make sure when your opportunity comes.” Stacey concluded his thoughts on playing, saying, “Physically, I felt good today and it’s just nice to be back on the pitch.” The 28-year-old also expressed considerable praise for Jack Wilshere, the new first-team coach who joined Norwich City last month. Regarding Wilshere, Stacey commented, “To be fair when I was playing with Jack [at Bournemouth] he was coming towards the end of his career and you could see that he would go into coaching.” He continued, “I was shocked, obviously he had such a good career, but when he came in he was so humble.” Stacey concluded his remarks on Wilshere, stating, “He spoke to everyone exactly the same and that’s exactly what he’s delivered here as well so it was great for him to come in – you can see he has a bright future ahead of him as a coach.” Post navigation St Mirren Announces Brown’s Departure and John’s Arrival St Johnstone’s Performance in 2-1 Loss to Hearts
