Henry Pollock, the Northampton Saints teenager, has agreed to a new “multi-year” contract, ensuring his continued presence with the Premiership title holders. This follows his initial professional agreement with Northampton, which was signed prior to the 2023-24 season. The 19-year-old back-row player is recognized as “one of the rising stars of English rugby.” He has recorded six tries in 16 first-team matches across various competitions since his debut in 2022, having progressed through the club’s academy system. In November, he played for England A, the national team’s second-string side. Prior to this, he secured both a World Championship and Six Nations titles with the Under-20s squad. Phil Dowson, the Saints’ director of rugby, commented on the signing, stating, “There’s no doubt that he’s one of the best young prospects in the league, but Henry has really shown us that he’s committed to hard work and to self-improvement, so we’re excited to see how far he can go.” This statement was made to the club’s official website. Pollock initially entered the Saints’ academy at the Under-13s age group. By the age of 17, he had already made appearances for the senior team in the Premiership Rugby Cup. This season, he has participated in nine matches for Northampton, including scoring a try against Castres during his European debut for the club earlier in December. Pollock described his progression through Northampton’s junior ranks and subsequent emergence at the club as having “been a really special experience.” He added, “I’m very grateful to be able to sign on again here at my boyhood club, I’m loving how things are going at the minute.” Post navigation Hull City Coach Walter Confident in Owner’s Support Chris Sutton’s Premier League Predictions: Bournemouth vs. Tottenham
