Following Dundee’s decisive 4-1 victory over Hibs on Saturday, Josh Mulligan has urged the team to establish a consistent sequence of positive outcomes. The comfortable three points, secured by goals from Jordan McGhee, Seb Palmer-Houlden, and Curtis Main, alongside a Nectar Triantis own-goal, propelled Tony Docherty’s squad to seventh place in the Scottish Premiership. Mulligan commented on the match, stating: “It was a bit of a slow start, everyone will admit that but the red card definitely helps and from there every one man to man was great.” He continued: “Everyone wanted the ball and we created loads of chances and the goals came with that.” Addressing the team’s form, Mulligan added: “It has been a bit inconsistent, we will get a win and then follow it with a loss so hopefully we can kick on from here.” Looking ahead, he noted: “The next game is Kilmarnock away so that is another tough game, every game is tough so hopefully we kick on from this one.” Mulligan expressed his conviction that incremental improvements will serve to highlight the inherent quality within the Dundee squad throughout the remainder of the season. He further elaborated: “You saw that we have got loads of good players, great players,” adding, “There have been a few little mistakes, small mistakes that have cost us three points at times.” Mulligan concluded: “If we can cut that out, we have had that performance in the season already, if we can keep that up then I think we will do well.”
