Moxon Believes Portsmouth Deserved Victory Against Norwich

Portsmouth midfielder Owen Moxon expressed his conviction that the team ought to have secured a full three points in their Championship fixture against Norwich City on Tuesday night. The match, held at Fratton Park, concluded in a goalless draw, a result that nonetheless propelled Pompey beyond the relegation zone based on goal difference. Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Moxon stated, “It’s a good point in the grand scheme of things but I would have liked to have taken all three and I think on the pitch we deserved that.” He further elaborated on the game’s nature, adding, “It was a bit of a scrappy game at times with some of the wind still left over from the weekend – we’re pleased with the point but we deserved three.” This game marked Moxon’s inaugural start of the current season, following his previous seven appearances as a substitute. Regarding his return to the starting lineup, Moxon commented, “I was told on Monday I was starting and it was a long wait after training and through the day until the game but I enjoyed it and hopefully it’s the start of many.” He also reflected on his season thus far, noting, “It’s been a frustrating start to the season for me – I was involved then I came out of it and had an injury for a few weeks which set me back so it’s been getting back fit, working hard each day and waiting for my opportunity.”
