Following Motherwell’s League Cup semi-final loss to Rangers on Sunday, midfielder Lennon Miller expressed his ambition for additional appearances at Hampden with the club. Motherwell, known as “The Steelmen,” initially took the lead with a first-half goal from Andy Halliday. However, two goals conceded in the second half extinguished their aspirations of securing their first major trophy since 1991. Miller stated, “It’s my first semi-final in my career, I want to have many more – especially with this club.” He added, “It’s a massive achievement to get here, so we can’t less this affect our season.” Reflecting on the match, Miller commented, “First half I thought we were really good. We maybe didn’t create as many chances as we would have wanted but we go in at 1-0.” He further explained, “The early goal in the second half kinds of kills us. A good team like Rangers are going to punish you. Early goal maybe knocks our confidence a little.” In Stephen O’Donnell’s absence, Miller served as captain for the semi-final. Despite receiving commendation from both supporters and analysts for his performances throughout the current season, the 18-year-old asserted that he has more to offer. “[My season has] been alright,” he said. “I’m a harsh critic to myself – I want more goals and assists.” Post navigation Sunderland Urged to Adopt More Pragmatic Winning Strategy Football Association Suspends Bentancur for Racial Slur
