Michael Carrick, the manager of Middlesbrough, has provided an update regarding the team’s injury concerns in advance of their forthcoming match against Burnley on Friday. Goalkeeper Seny Dieng and midfielder Riley McGree have resumed training, and defender Rav van den Berg has also rejoined. Midfielder Aidan Morris is also participating in training, though his return to the main squad is not anticipated as swiftly. Meanwhile, defender Darragh Lenihan is not expected to be available before Christmas as he continues his recovery from a long-term ankle injury. Regarding Alex Bangura, Carrick expressed that he is “hopeful” the left-back will be able to rejoin the squad later in the season, following an Achilles injury sustained during pre-season.
