Everton midfielder Orel Mangala recently spoke with BBC Radio Merseyside, offering his perspective on how the Blues can enhance their offensive performance. He conveyed his belief that the team is close to achieving better results, stating, “I think we aren’t that far away from winning more games and getting more points. It’s about being clinical in front of goal and having that killer instinct.” Mangala further stressed that the responsibility for scoring is not solely on the strikers, adding, “It doesn’t only come from the strikers – the team needs to take responsibility and score more goals from set pieces. That is what we are missing at the moment.” He elaborated on the essence of a “killer instinct,” explaining, “I think it [a killer instinct] comes from the heart. You really need to understand that you want to score goals and not think twice about. Once you start overthinking, that’s when you start making mistakes.”
