Reports from Monday indicate Ruben Amorim’s perspective that his players must “suffer” to achieve progress. Ruben Amorim reportedly inquired with Manchester United’s leadership about the possibility of joining the club during the summer, rather than mid-season. Manchester United declined this request. Although new owners are now making decisions at Old Trafford, the difficulties stemming from Ralf Rangnick’s unsuccessful interim period are still fresh in memory. The rationale behind their current desire for Amorim is considered valid. Furthermore, Amorim is recognized as one of Europe’s most promising young coaches, with United chief executive Omar Berrada expressing significant admiration. Pursuing him was therefore a logical step. The challenge, however, is that after these decisions were made, United finds itself in a situation where the new coach is attempting to introduce a new playing style. This comes with the knowledge that numerous midweek fixtures are approaching, which will hinder adequate training on team shape and positioning, potentially resulting in unforeseen losses. As a club, they cannot afford to sacrifice entire seasons for the sake of a major reconstruction. This approach is not consistent with the intention behind bringing in a figure like Amorim. Nevertheless, this strategy is, at best, a calculated risk. United recently lost two points at Portman Road and continues to occupy a position in the bottom half of the league table. This standing requires improvement. Post navigation Chris Wood Credits Team for Goalscoring Success Plymouth Argyle Reduces Losses by £1 Million Following Championship Re-entry
