Supporters were invited to share their perspectives on topics concerning Manchester United that warrant more discussion. A selection of their comments follows: Alexander highlighted Noussair Mazraoui’s strong performance for the club, describing him as “looking like a steal.” He praised Mazraoui’s “simple, effective football paired with an unbeatable work rate,” adding that he is “Easily the best player in this hopeless season.” Joe noted Manchester United’s recent history of “overpaying for players, underdeveloping them, and then selling them for a huge loss.” Despite this, he asserted that Mazraoui “has to be the bargain of the season.” Joe commended Mazraoui for “hitting the ground running” and being “one of United’s top performing players,” emphasizing his hard work and consistency, concluding that he “Seems like a steal.” Sam acknowledged the appropriate recognition given to academy players currently making an impact in the senior squad, such as Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Marcus Rashford. However, he pointed out that the significant dominance of United’s young players is largely overlooked. He cited the under-18s’ record in the U18 Premier League, where they have won nine out of nine matches, scoring 43 goals and conceding only four. Brett discussed Alejandro Garnacho’s progression, noting his “11 goal involvements in 18 games.” He stated that Garnacho’s “game has come on massively this season” and that “at only 20 years of age he looks an absolute star.” Brett criticized the media coverage, however, describing it as “non-existent, if not negative.” Nigel raised a concern about goal-scoring, questioning the suitability of both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, who he felt “look out of their depth at this level.” He stressed the urgent need for a “Top-class striker” but also pondered whether United possesses “the finances to get him?”
