Liverpool Manager Arne Slot Labels Mohamed Salah ‘Irreplaceable’

Liverpool’s manager, Arne Slot, has described forward Mohamed Salah as “irreplaceable.” This declaration follows Salah’s two-goal contribution in Wednesday’s 3-3 draw against Newcastle. The club is currently facing increasing pressure from supporters to finalize Salah’s contract, which is set to expire this summer. Speaking to Amazon Prime, Slot stated: “Every time we need Mo Salah he scores a goal.” He added, “We are hoping and expecting he can continue this for a long time. He was outstanding in the second half, he did many special things for us.” The 32-year-old Salah has contributed to 13 goals (nine goals, four assists) across his last seven Premier League appearances. He currently holds the fifth position on the club’s all-time top scorers list, trailing Billy Liddell in fourth place by only two goals. In an interview with BBC Match of the Day, Slot further elaborated: “He is irreplaceable because every time he plays 90 minutes. So that probably tells you everything. And we all see how important he is with his goals and his assists. The special thing about him is he doesn’t even have to play a very good first hour to be so special in the last half hour.”
