Former Scotland international Lee Miller expresses confidence that Stuart Kettlewell can reverse Motherwell’s current trajectory, despite the club’s recent string of unfavorable results. The Steelmen recorded their third consecutive defeat with a 4-1 loss to Dundee on Wednesday night. Despite this, they remain positioned within the top six, holding a one-point advantage over seventh-placed St Mirren. At Dens, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos’s equalizing goal allowed Kettlewell’s squad to re-enter contention, yet they subsequently collapsed, conceding three goals within a seven-minute span during the second half. “Everything that could go wrong last night went wrong for Motherwell,” Miller stated during an appearance on the BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast. He added, “Kettlewell is a very good manager and he did turn it around. He was allowed to have that time, which I totally agree with. Teams go through ruts like that. You have to pull your sleeves up and dig in and get together as a group. “They have got a really good group, I know that for a fact. I hope and I think they will get through it, this bad run, but they just need to work their socks off.”
