Arsenal double-winner Lee Dixon offered his analysis of the Gunners’ home triumph over Manchester United and the ongoing Premier League title race during an appearance on BBC Radio 5 Live. The former England full-back stated: “That’s all they can do [chip away at Liverpool’s lead in the Premier League], with the way Liverpool have started.” He continued, “Sometimes, with a runaway train, you have just got to let it go a little bit and hope that you catch it up at some point. With the injuries that Arsenal have had, they have fallen behind a little bit but Wednesday was a really good performance.” Dixon noted the challenging nature of the first half, observing that Manchester United’s tactics were “absolutely spot on,” effectively frustrating Arsenal. He remarked, “You can see what [Ruben] Amorim has done, you could see a shape to United.” He further described the first half as “not the prettiest thing to watch at times,” but acknowledged that United “set up really well and really disciplined and they made it really difficult for Arsenal.” Following half-time, Dixon observed that Arsenal emerged with “a bit more zip in their passing, a bit more energy in their set pieces.” He concluded his assessment by praising the team’s exceptional performance, stating, “But they [Arsenal] are off the charts. They change games and they certainly did that.” Post navigation Ospreys Secure Dramatic Last-Minute Victory Over Scarlets James Ryan and Bundee Aki Extend Contracts with Irish Rugby Football Union
