Koumetio Aims for Consecutive Wins to Maintain Team Morale

Billy Koumetio is focused on securing consecutive Premiership victories for Dundee, a feat not achieved since March, to sustain the positive atmosphere within the team. The squad, managed by Tony Docherty, will travel to Rugby Park this Saturday, following their decisive 4-1 home win against Hibs last weekend. The defender, Koumetio, currently on loan from Liverpool, commented: “We had success in the last game, which gives us a lot more confidence and a good vibe in the changing room between the players.” He continued, stating, “We are excited and looking forward to this game, working hard during the week, and just preparing ourselves on the way we are going to play and attack the game.” Koumetio also noted the upcoming schedule: “We have a few good games coming up during the next month or so. I think it’s the perfect time from the Hibs game to find a good rhythm for the matches coming up.” The 22-year-old player joined Dens Park during the summer transfer window, having previously completed loan periods with Austria Vienna, Dunkerque, and Blackburn. He further elaborated on his experiences, stating: “I’ve been in a few places and a few countries, and football is kind of different, but I think you have to learn very quick.” Koumetio explained the process of adaptation: “With all the work that we are doing in training, week after week, month after month, you just get used to it, and then just keep pushing it.” He concluded by emphasizing continuous improvement: “Game after game, you just build on what you are doing, keep building capability, working on your weaknesses and on the good things that you can do.”
