Stuart Kettlewell, manager of Motherwell, addressed the media ahead of his team’s Premiership match against Ross County on Saturday. The main points from his discussion are as follows: Kettlewell commended midfielder Lennon Miller, 18, for his commitment to playing for Scotland Under-19s during the recent international break. Addressing rumors regarding the teenager, the Motherwell manager stated, “we’re bad in this country for thinking about what’s next”. He further confirmed that no other clubs have formally expressed interest in Miller, adding humorously that he hopes the player remains with the club for “the next 10 to 15 years”. Kettlewell expressed his hope that the bounce game and “team bonding” activities undertaken by his players during the international break would ensure the squad returns “firing on all cylinders”. He noted that the team has “amassed a good number of points” and demonstrated “progression,” but emphasized the need to “add quality and consistency” to their performances. Long-term injured players Sam Nicholson and Callum Slattery have resumed training, though they are still some distance from being ready to play in matches.
