Kent bowler Fred Klaassen, who has earned 58 international caps for the Netherlands, has signed a new one-year contract to continue playing white-ball cricket for the Canterbury club next season. Since joining Kent in 2019, the Netherlands international has secured 61 wickets across 55 Twenty20 appearances. As a left-arm seamer, Klaassen has accumulated 58 international caps in white-ball cricket, taking a total of 75 wickets. The 32-year-old was a member of the Spitfires’ T20 Blast title-winning squad in 2021, notably achieving figures of 4-17 against the Sussex Sharks in the semi-final. However, he was absent from the 2024 competition due to a back injury, which he sustained while on international duty in May. “I’m really pleased to commit to Kent for at least another year at what feels like a fresh start for us and the start of something exciting,” he told the club’s website. He added, “A big contributing factor to me committing to Kent was having Adam Hollioake come in as head coach, and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the squad to hopefully put some big performances in 2025 after a disappointing 2024 due to injury.” Post navigation The Importance of Squad Balance in Premier League Football Nicolas Kuhn’s Pivotal Role in Celtic’s League Cup Triumph
