Derby County’s right-back, Kane Wilson, has stated that his display during the 4-0 triumph against Portsmouth last Friday marked his strongest performance for the team to date. The 24-year-old initiated the scoring against “Pompey,” contributing to the Rams’ decisive win at Pride Park in their most recent Championship fixture. Speaking on BBC’s Rams Daily podcast, Wilson remarked, “I think taking in the level in the Championship, it probably is [my best performance] to be fair.” He elaborated on the significance of the match, stating, “Portsmouth are in a similar situation to us just coming up from League One so it was almost like a six-pointer in that sense.” Wilson added, “It was obviously an important game, which playing well in meant a lot to the fans and myself included.” He concluded, “It probably was, in terms of everything, my best game.” Derby is scheduled to play Luton Town on Friday night, a match where a victory could elevate them to 10th position in the league standings prior to the remaining games of the weekend.
