Jay Fulton indicated that Swansea City is looking forward to returning home to play Sunderland this Saturday, having secured four points from their recent away matches against Luton Town and Plymouth Argyle. Fulton contributed his first goal in 13 months, aiding Luke Williams’ squad in their Tuesday victory at Home Park, which occurred three days after an impressive 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road. Swansea is currently experiencing what might be their most consistent period of performances since Luke Williams assumed management last January; veteran midfielder Fulton indicated the squad’s optimistic perspective. The 30-year-old commented, “We moved up to ninth [after Plymouth] and we will look back at games already and think we could have probably got more points.” He added, “Sunderland are having a good season. Our home form has been decent so we look forward to it. We are ready to push on.” Fulton’s start in the Plymouth victory marked only his fourth league start this season, with his last appearance in Williams’ starting eleven being on 22 October in the draw against Sheffield Wednesday. Fulton has experienced periods requiring patience, attributed to the strong form of players such as Matt Grimes and summer acquisition Goncalo Franco, in addition to a period sidelined by a calf injury. He commented, “It’s tough for any player when they are not getting consecutive games and they are trying to find a way into the team.” He further stated, “I have done it before. Obviously the injury was a little setback to me but I work hard in training and try to be as fit and ready as possible.” Fulton concluded by saying, “Swansea have always had a lot of midfielders, a lot of options. It’s only good for the squad to have that competition and help push us up the league.” Post navigation Scotland’s Forwards Coach Dalziel Believes Team is Nearing Top Global Standard Kris Boyd Calls for End to Philippe Clement’s Rangers Tenure
