Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola addressed the media in advance of Sunday’s Premier League fixture away to Ipswich, scheduled for 14:00 GMT. The following are the principal points from his press conference: Iraola indicated that he anticipates needing to make changes to the squad following Thursday’s victory over Tottenham. He stated, “I don’t know how Lou [Lewis Cook] will be, how Tyler [Adams] will be, how the ones who started two games and played 90 minutes will be. Probably we will have to make some subs, yes.” He expressed satisfaction with Adams’ performance, particularly after the player completed his second consecutive full 90 minutes. Iraola commented, “The way he plays naturally fits very well with the things we do. He’s very aggressive without the ball, very good at reading situations. Sometimes we have to put the breaks on him because he wants to go to everything. He’s improving in these things.” Iraola voiced apprehension regarding the exertion expended during Thursday’s significant win. He remarked, “Playing against Spurs is not the type of game you want in midweek because they are team that run a lot and have athletes. To match them you have to be at your best and nobody kept anything. I felt the players finished very tired.” Addressing the upcoming challenge presented by Ipswich, Iraola noted, “The games they have lost have been by very small margins. I expect a game where the small details will be key. They have a clear idea, a clear identity. They have spirit. It’s a tricky one for us because we have just more than 48 hours to recover.” Elaborating on the short recovery period between matches, he added, “They [Ipswich] have had two extra days and play both games at home so for them it’s perfect conditions. We have to use these two days to recover and see who is ready to go again, who is ready to help with some minutes and who we have to change because I suppose not everyone will be ready to start the game.” When asked if achieving consecutive victories represented a significant milestone, Iraola responded, “The important thing is to win no matter what it comes after. Every win is very valuable. We have to try and continue. We have most of the way to go. We have 21 points which is good in this moment, but we need more.” Post navigation Aberdeen Manager Thelin Meets Legendary Ferguson Ruben Amorim’s Leadership: A Blend of Charisma and Resolve
