Hull KR has reached an agreement for a contract extension with second-row forward James Batchelor, securing his presence at Sewell Group Craven Park until 2029. Batchelor’s previous agreement was set to conclude at the end of the 2026 season, but this new deal adds an additional three years to his tenure. The 26-year-old Batchelor has participated in 52 matches and scored 11 tries over his two seasons with the Robins, having joined the club from Wakefield Trinity. He was part of the Hull KR squad that advanced to the Challenge Cup final in 2023 and also featured in the Grand Final last season. Speaking to the club’s website, Batchelor stated, “When the club approached me and talked about extending, it was a no-brainer, it was quick and there’s no place I’d rather be.”
