The Football News Show addressed the question of whether Renée Slegers should be given a longer tenure as Arsenal’s manager. Anita Asante, a former Arsenal defender, stated that the Gunners have undergone a “transformation” under Slegers, who is currently serving as interim boss. Since Slegers took charge following Jonas Eidevall’s resignation, Arsenal has achieved an unbeaten streak of five matches. Asante remarked to The Football News Show, “The record speaks for itself so far.” She further explained, “I’m sure there are sceptics out there saying ‘don’t get carried away’. But it’s also about the body language form the players, the impetus they are putting on the pitch, the performances and results in terms of the goals they’re scoring – that was a big struggle for them earlier in the season, they weren’t being clinical – already that’s a transformation.”
