Tottenham supporters were invited to share their thoughts on subjects at their club that are not widely discussed but warrant attention. Below are some of the responses received: John commented on the future of Son Heung-min, stating: “Sonny is a hero, no question, and he will endure as a Tottenham legend. This season with injuries he is now a yard slower. He will no doubt see out this season and see out next season on his contract extension, beyond that unlikely. Who will carry his leadership flame after he has moved on?” William drew attention to Pape Sarr, noting: “No one ever really seems to talk about Pape Sarr, despite how good he’s been for us for a while now. He keeps it simple, breaks up play well, has an eye for a pass and plays with a smile on his face. Ange often rotates his midfielders, but I think Sarr should play more regularly, as he compliments our attacking players very well.” Paul highlighted a perceived decline in form for Son and Romero this season compared to the last, stating: “No one seems to be talking about the loss of form this season compared to last of Son and Romero. Son looks to have lost a yard of pace and Romero sometimes looks as if he is playing in slow motion and lacks urgency even when we have been chasing a game. We need to sign a top class keeper, central defender and another striker, and offload Richarlison.” Michael expressed a differing view, questioning complaints and remarking: “I don’t understand why people are complaining. We have a new manager and young squad, half the team is injured and we’re playing exciting football! A couple of bad results yes but this is best football we have played in years!” Paul also described the experience of being a Spurs supporter as a “rollercoaster ride,” adding: “To state the obvious, it’s a rollercoaster ride being a Spurs supporter with many highs and the frequent lows. The choice of Ange as manager perfectly reflects that experience. Playing out from the back has its obvious benefits but is full of risks and quite often leads to painful punishments. I think this dogma will end in tears.” Sandi Toksvig is joined by Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi and Alan Davies Grab the mic for Queen, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and more… Ben Fogle and Kate Humble are back for the festivities at Longleat Safari Park From micro plastics in our air, soil, and waterways, to the extent of food waste at this time of year © 2024 BBC.
