The Edinburgh club has confirmed that Scotland international Damien Hoyland has rejoined the team on a “short-term” agreement. The 30-year-old previously played for Edinburgh for nine years, accumulating over 100 appearances, prior to his departure for the United States in 2023, where he became part of the Major League Rugby team Old Glory DC. This back-three player is currently back in training with the Edinburgh squad and is eligible for selection in their forthcoming matches, commencing with the URC fixture against Benetton on 30 November.
