An East Sussex charitable organization has taken possession of the Olympic trampoline utilized by Bryony Page during her gold medal victory in Paris. On Saturday, Page revealed the trampoline to attendees at the Sky High Trampoline Gymnastics Academy in Uckfield. The organization extended an invitation to other clubs, enabling them to meet Page, who earned Great Britain’s inaugural Olympic trampoline medal in 2016. Eleven-year-old Isaac stated: “It was amazing to meet Bryony and to ask her questions about trampolining.” He expressed being “completely shocked” by the Olympic trampoline. He remarked: “It’s one of the most famous trampolines, the one I’d love to train on, and it’s now going to be my every day trampoline.” He added: “Five days a week I’m going to get to go on the trampoline Bryony Page won the gold medal on. It’s just amazing!” Page commented: “It’s really special to be at a club like this and to see the excitement on people’s faces. I think I’m just as excited to see that trampoline as they are!” She conveyed her hope that her “persistence and stubbornness to get to the top level” would motivate the young attendees “to not give up and know that they can do it”. Coach Abi Jaques stated: “I am hoping she will inspire the next generation.” Ms. Jaques clarified that she reached out to Page via social media, and while she informed the club’s children about the Olympian’s visit, she kept the trampoline a secret. The charitable organization, having purchased the trampoline for approximately £10,000, indicated its intention to also lease it to nearby clubs.
