Sam Dalby scored for Dundee United against Kilmarnock. Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has stated the club’s intention to be involved in decisions concerning Sam Dalby’s future. Dalby’s goal, his sixth since joining on loan from Wrexham, occurred during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock. Goodwin affirmed, “We want to be at the table when those conversations need to take place.” He further elaborated, “Right now we’re not wanting any distractions. Sam and his representatives know where we are and they know that we would love the big fellow to stay longer term.” Meanwhile, Dalby commented that scoring a goal on his 25th birthday was “special.” The Englishman headed in the opening goal during the draw against Kilmarnock. This goal came shortly after Kilmarnock was forced to substitute the injured Robby McCrorie with Kieran O’Hara, who could only parry David Babunski’s attempt before Dalby reacted to convert the rebound. The on-loan Wrexham player explained, “They had to bring a sub goalkeeper on, so naturally I try to gamble every time we have a shot.” He added, “Thankfully that paid off and I got my goal. Any goal is special and helps the team, but it’s nice to get one on my birthday.” Dalby concluded, “We’re still unbeaten in five but three points would have been nice.” Post navigation Portsmouth Striker Kusini Yengi Sidelined for Nine to Ten Weeks Football Club Faces Closure Nearing Centenary
